Abstract :
The following will serve as an introduction to the nominal and verbal morphology of the Rivignano dialect of Friulian. Friulian is the easternmost member of the group of languages and dialects that has come to be known as Rhaeto-Romance or Rhaeto-Friulian. The language, Friulian, is spoken in the north-eastern part of Italy, centering around the city of Udine. The standard language is considered to be that dialect that is spoken in the Udine area. The dialect in question here is that of Rivignano, situated to the south-west of Udine.
