Abstract :

Names of Origin and Immigration in Diest untill 1400
In an earlier contribution, Family Names Derived from Toponymics from the Diest Region (Naamkunde 15, 1983, pp. 129-179), I searched how in this region family names, habitation names to be precise, were made from place names. As a counterpart of that article and as an addition to it, I discuss in this article the names of origins from other place and regions appearing in Diest and its parts during the 13th and 14th centuries.
