This annotated bibliography lists 160 items ranging from dictionaries of names to studies of surnames and given names and studies of ethnic names, nicknames, and trends in naming. Not limited to names in North America, the list includes studies by North American scholars -often in collaboration with scholars from abroad- of names throughout the world La recherche anthroponymique en Amérique du Nord, 1990-2003: une bibliographie commentée Les travaux anthroponymiques des chercheurs aux États-Unis et au Canada depuis 1990 ont été nombreux. La présente bibliographie commentée comprend 160 entrées allant des dictionnaires de noms aux études de noms de famille et prénoms, noms ethniques, surnoms et courant onomastiques. Notre corpus ne se limite pas à l'Amérique du Nord et inclut des études de chercheurs nord-américains, souvent en collaboration avec des chercheurs étrangers, sur des noms du monde entier. Studien zu Personennamen in Nordamerika, 1990-2003: eine kommentierte Bibliographie Zu den Personennamen gibt es seit 1990 zahlreiche wissenshaftliche Forschungen in den USA und in Kanada. Die vorliegende kommentierte Bibliographie zählt 160 Titel auf und umfasst sowohl Namenbücher als auch studien zu Familiennamen, Vornamen, Ethnonymen und Spitznamen bis hin zu Tendenzen der Namengebung. Das Verzeichnis is jedoch nicht auf namen in Nordamerika beschränkt, sondern umfasst Studien nordamerikanischer Forscher zu Namen der ganzen Welt, oft unter mitarbeit internationaler Kollegen. |
