Abstract :
The main focus is on the mystic of Gertrud von Helfta (1256-1301/02) who grew up in the spirit of the Convent of the Zisterzinser in Germany. Interesting is that she tried to describe the Trinity of God in her own understanding instead of the typical dogmatic way of going about it in during her times. Her work Exercitia Spiritualia accompanied the author for over a year and after reflecting about it she was inspired to come up with a pictures-series in context of the Convent Mariensee (Germany / Hannover). Inspired because of the use of her unique religious language that guided her. This was only possible because her theology is a lively source of pictures which binds God and people very close to each other.
