Title: Weibliches Begehren und die theologische Position des Sprechens
Author(s): GÜNTER, Andrea
Journal: Journal of the European Society of Women in Theological Research
Volume: 4 Date: 1996
The religious element of the (German) Women's Movement can be found in the talk about female desire and the search for transcendence for women. This leads to a conflict between the desire/demand of the individual women and the institutional church, but also to a conflict between different generations of women theologians, which is related to the paradigm shift of Postmodernity. The theological dimension of women's speech makes a productive distance vis-à-vis the world possible and thereby brings female freedom into being.
