Abstract :
In this text “Speaking of God. As a woman. After the Enlightenment,” different lines of thinking are brought together in the search for an answer to the political question of how women in post-patriarchal societies can speak with authority: Feminist research on biblical/prophetesses, the Italian Diotima group’s philosophy of female authority, feminist reception of the churches’ ascetic traditions can all help us to understand ourselves as responsible persons who do not fear “the truth”, but are prepared to accept the post-patriarchal challenge to re-define the public meaning of global human living together in peace.
