Toutes les catégories sont affectées: la morphologie (flexions nominale et verbale), la syntaxe,… Le présent article traite essentiellement des principales aberrations casuelles et génériques qui affectent le neutre pluriel, mais certaines pistes sont déjà explorées dans l’explication générale de ce curieux phénomène de brouillage grammatical. Il semble qu’il faille y voir les conséquences d’un rituel consistant en divers exercices diascévastiques dont la désignation générique était azai∞ti- «transposition du texte». The Avestan texts are full of grammatical anomalies as is clearly illustrated by the numerous parenthetical notes BARTHOLOMAE adds to his dictionary: e. g. «azdibis (als Obj.)». Every grammatical category is affected: morphology (declension, conjugation), syntax,… The present research specially deals with the principal aberrations concerning plural neuter case endings. Some paths have however already been explored to find a general explanation of this puzzling phenomenon of grammatical fogging. Apparently, its origin is a kind of ritual consisting in various diascevastic exercises, for which generic designation was azai∞ti- «transposition of the text». |
