Abstract :
As always in Switzerland, the reception of Amoris laetitia differs according to each of the three linguistic regions. All support the position articulated by the Swiss bishops’ conference document entitled 'Towards a Renewal of the Pastoral Care for Marriage and Families in the Light of Amoris laetitia'. The task is to adopt an attitude of humble learning in regard to the various concerns at the national and local level. One has to learn to welcome, to accompany, to discern, and to integrate each person in the sight of God. The theme of 'holy ground' (Ex 3,5) structures the pastoral reflection, which is more developed in the French-speaking areas. Couples and families are seen as training grounds for the spiritual life in the light of the gospel. Diocesan and canton-level services are to support, through meetings and formation opportunities, the exposure of each person to the tenderness of the Lord.
