Sometimes scholars stressed difficulties and also mistakes involved in the way Leibniz managed to treat 'negation', especially focusing on the questions arising from the interplay between that operator and the use of indefinite letters. We will discuss these difficulties, trying to find a rationale for Leibniz’s 'mistakes' and, on the other hand, to draw some lessons from them. |
