Motiviert wurde er zur Abfassung dieses Werkes im Jahre 1992 durch die plötzliche und völlig unerwartete Bestellung zum Professor für Dogmatik am Moskauer Geistlichen Seminar. Als Spezifika seiner Dogmatik nennt Alfejev selbst: (1) die enge Verbindung von Dogma und Spiritualität; (2) die Hervorhebung der Kirchenväter und ihrer geistlichen Erfahrung; (3) die Bedeutung des orthodoxen Gottesdienstes als Quelle der Glaubensüberlieferung. Alle drei Akzentuierungen bestimmen auch das Kapitel über das Sakrament der Ehe, das im Folgenden vollständig, aber ohne Anmerkungen wiedergegeben wird. In einer gegenüber der herkömmlichen westlichen Theologie ganz ungewöhnlichen Offenheit wird darin die geschlechtliche Begegnung von Mann und Frau und deren tiefe spirituelle Bedeutung hervorgehoben. The Sacrament of Marriage According to Russian Orthodox Theology In 2003, the Institute of Ecumenical Study of the University of Fribourg published Bishop Hilarion Alfejev's introduction to Orthodox dogmatic theology in German under the title Geheimnis des Glaubens (Mystery of Faith). He composed this work in 2002 following his unexpected nomination as professor dogmatic theology at the Moskow seminary. Alfejev sees his dogmatic theology as unique in three respects: (1) the strong connection between dogma and spirituality, (2) the emphasis on the Fathers of the Church and their spiritual experience, (3) the significance of the orthodox liturgy as the source of the tradition of faith. These three characteristics can be found in the chapter on marriage reproduced here. One finds an openness to the deep spiritual significance of the sexual relationship between a man and a woman that is unparalleled in the west. Le sacrement du mariage selon la conception orthodoxe russe En 2003, l’Institut des études œcuméniques de l’Université de Fribourg a publié, en allemand, la Introduction à la dogmatique orthodoxe de l’évêque Hilarion Alfejev sous le titre de Geheimnis des Glaubens (Mystère de la foi). Il a rédigé cette œuvre en 2002 à la suite de sa nomination inattendue comme professeur de dogmatique au Séminaire de Moscou. Alfejev caractérise la spécificité de sa dogmatique par (1) le lien étroit entre dogme et spiritualité; (2) l’accent mis sur les Pères de l’Eglise et leur expérience spirituelle; (3) la signification du culte orthodoxe comme source de la tradition de la foi. Ces trois caractéristiques marquent aussi le chapitre consacré au sacrement du mariage, qui est reproduit in extensodans cet article. Avec une ouverture d’esprit que l’on ne trouve guère dans la théologie occidentale traditionnelle, il met l’accent sur la profonde signification spirituelle de la relation sexuelle entre mari et femme. Il sacramento del matrimonio nella concezione russo-ortodossa Nell’anno 2003, l’Istituto per gli Studi Ecumenici dell’Università di Friburgo ha pubblicato in lingua tedesca, con il titolo Geheimnis des Glaubens (Mistero della fede), la Introduzione alla dogmatica ortodossa del vescovo Hilarion Alfejev. Egli fu spinto alla stesura di quest’opera nell’anno 1992 dall’improvvisa e totalmente inaspettata nomina a professore di dogmatica, presso il Seminario Spirituale di Mosca. Come punto specifico della sua dogmatica, Alfejev stesso cita: (1) la stretta connessione di dogma e spiritualità; (2) il risalto conferito ai padri della chiesa ed alla loro esperienza spirituale; (3) il significato del servizio divino ortodosso come fonte della tradizione di fede. Tutte e tre le accentuazioni determinano anche il capitolo sul sacramento del matrimonio che qui viene riportato integralmente. In una apertura del tutto insolita nella teologia occidentale tradizionale, in questo testo viene messo in risalto l’incontro sessuale tra uomo e donna e il suo profondo significato spirituale.
