Title: 'With Whom I Lived'
Subtitle: Measuring Roman Marriage
Author(s): SHAW, Brent D.
Journal: Ancient Society
Volume: 32 Date: 2002
Starting from epigraphical data, the author tries to find out the average age for first marriage in Roman times. As the length of a marriage is mostly mentioned of a tombstone, this age is computable. The authors does not limit himself to the counting of years, he also tries to organise different dedications, virtues written on these same tombstones.
