Abstract :
The myth of the creation of the gold disk (jtn n nbw) in the Contendings of Horus and Seth lends itself particularly well to a structural reading. This one makes it possible to show that the disc in question is the satellite at the beginning of the night of the full moon and that it was used, probably in an old version of the myth of Horus and Seth, as “arsenal” to the two divinities.
