Abstract :
In modern times, Kant argued that scientific knowledge, especially mathematical knowledge, was based on a priori synthetic judgments using the pure intuition of space and time. We will show that all the proofs he gives of them are obsolete and that the mathematicians resort to purely logical demonstrations. However, this does not mean that intuition plays no initial role in the constitution of formal systems.
