Document Details : Title: Calendrical Implications in the Epistle to the Hebrews Author(s): LOURIÉ, Basil Journal: Revue Biblique Volume: 115 Issue: 2 Date: 2008 Pages: 245-265 DOI: 10.2143/RBI.115.2.3206485 Abstract : The study is focused on the liturgical meaning, according to the Epistle to the Hebrews, of the Sabbath and the Day of Atonement in their relation to the feast of Passover. The corresponding tradition is to be found in a recently published pre-Christian Aramaic Targum to Joshua and in a Qumranic Joshua fragment (4Q522). The main sanctuary of the addressee community was localized on the Mt Sion. |
