The liturgical year is not merely a calendar but a theological entity that transmits the saving mystery of Christ into the life of the Church. It is understood as the ritual celebration of salvation history in the course of a calendar year. However, this article explores the theological richness of the structure, celebration, and the essence of the liturgical year. The structure of the liturgical year transcends time to eternity, liturgical practice of it forms and transforms the vision of the Church and its essence transmits the paschal mystery. The present paper studies and compares the perception of the liturgical time and the liturgical year as observed in the Latin and the Syro-Malabar rites. Particularly, the prayers of the Eucharistic liturgy and of the Liturgy of the Hours in different liturgical seasons and times of the liturgical calendar or year of both rites are analyzed here. Cet article soutient que d’être davantage un cadre structurel simple pour la vie de prière de l’Église, l’année liturgique avec ses cycles et saisons liturgiques constitue un véritable lieu de profonde théologie. L’année liturgique n’est pas seulement un calendrier mais aussi une entité théologique qui transmet le mystère salvifique du Christ dans la vie des fidèles. Elle est considérée comme la célébration rituelle de l’histoire du salut au cours d’une année civile. Cet article explore l’abondance théologique de la structure, de la célébration et de l’essence de l’année liturgique. La structure de l’année liturgique conduit le temps vers l’éternité, la pratique liturgique constitue et transforme la vision de l’Église, son essence transmet le mystère pascal. Les études et l’article présent comparent la perception du temps liturgique et l’année liturgique comme observés dans le rite latin et syro-malabar. En particulier les prières de la liturgie eucharistique et de la Liturgie des Heures au cours des différentes saisons dans deux rites liturgiques font l’objet de la présente analyse comparative. |
