Abstract :

According to Oscar Cullmann’s theological thought, God’s victory is already complete and appears in many fragmentary ways during the historical time which follows Jesus Christ’s first coming and goes on untill the end of history. But our question to this conception is ; What is the theological meaning of human estrangement and negativity ? Eschatological faith is given a better existential and social significance by Paul Tillich’s theology of « kairos ». In this perspective, the fulfilment of the eternal life can be united with the elements of negation, boundary-situation and interrogation without which our time is properly unthinkable.
