On le précise en délimitant son domaine d’application, lié à une fonction s’exerçant à l’endroit d’un public défini. Le domaine du théologien est celui de la foi chrétienne dans une Confession. Sa responsabilité ne s’exerce pas de la même façon s’il est professeur, formateur ou écrivain. Elle se démarque de celle du philosophe, du pasteur et du prophète. Le théologien écrivain inquiète parfois l’autorité et ébranle la communauté parce que sa responsabilité s’inscrit dans le domaine inconfortable de l’assomption de la culture, aujourd’hui habitée par le doute, dans l’intelligence de la foi. Responsibility is a concept with a dominant legal note. Its specifics appear when we demarcate its field of application and tie it to a function with respect to a given public. The theologian's domain is that of Christian faith with a Denomination. His responsibility is not exercised in the same way if he is a teacher, an educator or a writer. It is different from that pf the philosoph, the pastor or the prophet. Theologians who are writers sometimes worry authority and rock the community because their responsibility lies in the uncomfortable domain of taking on culture, which today is inhabited by doubt, into the intelligence of faith. |
