Avant sa mort, il identifie le couvercle de sarcophage de la Dame Nésy-Khonsou-pa-khérèd (T.P.I.), fille du prêtre Pa-di-Mout, dans une lettre adressée à son propriétaire, le Capitaine de vaisseau A.-F. Troude. Cette identification a été possible grâce à un réseau d’amitié dont le personnage principal a été le peintre B. Th. Henry (1766-1836). Lettre et sarcophage sont aujourd’hui exposés au musée Emmanuel Liais de Cherbourg. J.-F. Champollion died the 4th of march 1832, in Paris. Before his dead, he identified the cover of sarcophagus of the Lady Nesy-Khonsou-pa-khered (T.I.P.), daughter of the priest Pa-di-Mout, in a letter addressed to his owner, Captain A.-F. Troude. This identification has been possible thanks to a network of friends whom leading personage was the painter B. Th. Henry (1766-1836). Letter and sarcophagus are today exhibited in museum Emmanuel Liais in Cherbourg. |
