Document Details : Title: Zur Rezeption des Kaiserkultes in der Spätantike Author(s): VAN NUFFELEN, Peter Journal: Ancient Society Volume: 32 Date: 2002 Pages: 263-282 DOI: 10.2143/AS.32.0.61 Abstract : The implementation of the imperial cult in the Late Antique has basically three problems: the attitude of Constantinus the 1st towards imperial cult, the surviving of the Apotheosis, and the existance of imperial priest until the sixth century AD. Although these problems are very clear, we cannot supply an answer to the question to clarify them, because of the twofold nature of the ancient sources dealing with this subject. |
