Document Details : Title: Values and the Canon Law Author(s): WIJLENS, Myriam Journal: Louvain Studies Volume: 20 Issue: 4 Date: winter 1995 Pages: 393-400 DOI: 10.2143/LS.20.4.556013 Abstract : In an earlier article in Louvain Studies I discussed the relationship between theology and canon law. My position was that the two disciplines are organically related to each other: they are two stages of the same process. Theologye seeks a deeper understanding of the mysteries, canon law prompts the community to order its operations for the reception of the divine gifts. In this process, however, there is one subject, the church that is searching for knowledge and is directing its members to reach out for life supporting values. |
