It is looking for the most realistic and efficient means that may help us to better understand and resolve the culture/cultures problem or that may provide us with the best contributions to its solution, that two junctures are going to be exposed in this article: (1) the socio-historical context in which the Latin American bishops, one of the main trends of Liberation Theology and, in general, the Latin American Church have come to deal with the culture/cultures problem, and (2) some remarks and contributions concerning the insufficiencies we see contained in the way and in the solutions given to the above problem in the three major documents issued by those bishops.
