Document Details : Title: The Constitutiveness of Christ in Christian Theology of Religions Author(s): VAN WIELE, Jan Journal: Studies in Interreligious Dialogue Volume: 12 Issue: 2 Date: 2002 Pages: 184-206 DOI: 10.2143/SID.12.2.504428 Abstract : Religious pluralism is gaining more and more ground, both within and outside Christianity. Pluralists seem to be united in the denial of the constitutiveness of Christ in theology of religions. There can be little doubt that this vision amounts, in a number of cases, to the refutation of the traditional truth claims of Christianity. In this confused situation the contemporary Christian needs to clarify his/her position towards the non-Christian more than ever. |
