Two recently discovered documents, a memorial inscription (1615) and a presentation letter (1616-1617), here published for the first time, offer some new information on Othonia’s activities and personality. Othonia’s lifelong role model, her 'doctissima heroina', was the Italian Protestant Latin writer Olympia Fulvia Morata (Ferrara 1526 - Heidelberg 1555). |
