Document Details : Title: Cepalio y Matugenus, productores de tegulae y esclavos de Valerius Taurus Author(s): SIMÓN CORNAGO, Ignacio Journal: Latomus Volume: 79 Issue: 2 Date: 2020 Pages: 384-397 DOI: 10.2143/LAT.79.2.3288656 Abstract : Only in some Hispanic workshops can we find seals that provide information on the servant condition of the workers and the internal organization of the workshop. This is the case with the discovery from Manganeses de la Polvorosa (Zamora). In that place tiles were made, and the different seals used allow identifying two workers, one with a Greek name (Cepalo) and the other with an indigenous name (Matugenus); both were Valerius Taurus’ slaves. |
