Document Details : Title: The Management of Church Property in a Synodal Church Subtitle: Towards Eliminating Financial Misconduct Author(s): RENKEN, John Anthony Journal: Studia Canonica Volume: 52 Issue: 2 Date: 2018 Pages: 593-626 DOI: 10.2143/STC.52.2.3286255 Abstract : Pope Francis has repeatedly reflected upon the synodal nature of the Church, identifying synodality as a 'constitutive element' of the pilgrim People of God. Synodality is to be found at all levels of ecclesial life, beginning within the particular Churches. This study proposes that a synodal approach to the management of finances, especially in dioceses and parishes, will eliminate most instances of financial malfeasance. |
