Now it is on display in the new ‘Radici del Presente’ Educational Museum at Piazza Venezia in Rome. This relief, maybe dated to the end of 4th century BC ca, depicts a young girl and a bearded man sitting on the rocks and facing each other. They could represent Io imprisoned by the giant Argo, as Hera had ordered. However the place of origin and production of the relief cannot be recognized with certainty. |
