Document Details : Title: Social Spirituality and the Quest for Soul Author(s): MAAS, Frans , WAAIJMAN, Kees Journal: Studies in Spirituality Volume: 24 Date: 2014 Pages: 291-340 DOI: 10.2143/SIS.24.0.3053501 Abstract : This article explores the phenomenon of social spirituality in the fields of education, care, work and wellbeing. We postulate that in all these fields attention is paid to skills, competencies and abilities, but at the same time there is a sense that that is not enough. ‘There is more to it than that’, is a perennial complaint. The relationship between the two dimensions calls for close reflection. We believe the concept of soul, if properly understood, connects them. |
