Of the two Hispanic codices, the Escorialensis is the version containing more errors, while the Matritensis is a valuable document which can resolve some of the errors or mistaken readings contained in Migne’s edition, which is the only one in existence of this Epitome of Lapidary by Saint Epiphanius of Cyprus. |
