It is a typewritten letter, written on university stationery of Leonard Bloomfield’s German Department at Ohio State University, and sent out in January 1924. The letter is conserved in the Franz Boas Papers in the Library of the American Philosophical Society (B/B 61, correspondence Boas - Bloomfield, folder # 1); Bloomfield addressed it to Boas on January 18, 1924, together with an accompanying note. |
