Document Details : Title: Plädoyer für eine Allianz von Literatur und theologischer Ethik Author(s): DEMMER, Klaus Journal: Marriage, Families & Spirituality Volume: 6 Issue: 1 Date: Spring 2000 Pages: 34-37 DOI: 10.2143/INT.6.1.2004600 Abstract : A plea for a link-up between literature and theological ethics The theological response to R Schnell’s literary-historical paper calls for a link-up between literature and theological ethics. The two are partners with shared roles. Writers apply their literary rhetoric to a critique of the ambiguity of prevailing morality, whereas from ethicists we may expect not simply a call to moral logic, but above all an eye for moral necessities. From a theological-ethical perspective there is a suspicion that even today women are still the first victims of the trivialising and depersonalising tendencies current in the realm of sexual relations, even if in a more subtle way. |
