Journal: Ons Geestelijk Erf Volume: 69 Issue: 3 Date: september 1995 Pages: 260-288 DOI: 10.2143/OGE.69.3.2003426 Abstract : The Visio Philiberti was translated into Flemish at the end of the sixteenth century, probably by Jan David S.J., and inserted in Verscheyden Litanien (Antwerp, Plantin, 1595), a prayer book for the army edited by Thomas Sailly S.J. The whole text (600 verses in stanzas with rhyme scheme abab) is published here and also the linked translation (v. 601-704) of De mundi miseria (inc.: Ecce mundus moritur vitio sepultus), ascribed to Robert Grosseteste. |
