With regard to the reception of mysticism in the context of attempts of forming a female tradition it is important to realize the diverse and qualified presence of a female judicious 'I'. This reception of mysticism understands sexual difference as so foundational, that it cannot be grounded in a juxtaposition of woman and man. Also, dealing with women mystics plays an important role for the struggle of women to find a lively language not releying on traditional codifications. |
