Document Details : Title: Les pièces secrètes de l'Europe Subtitle: Pourquoi une femme, aujourd'hui, s'intéresse-t-elle à la mystique Author(s): MURARO, Luisa Journal: Journal of the European Society of Women in Theological Research Volume: 4 Date: 1996 Pages: 129-139 DOI: 10.2143/ESWTR.4.0.2003001 Abstract : Muraro holds that the Middle Ages and especially Women's Mysticism form the hidden origin of European thought, as can be shown by the reception of mystic thinking by Martin Heidegger, Jacques Lacan, Simone Weil and Maria Zambrano. With regard to the reception of mysticism in the context of attempts of forming a female tradition it is important to realize the diverse and qualified presence of a female judicious 'I'. This reception of mysticism understands sexual difference as so foundational, that it cannot be grounded in a juxtaposition of woman and man. Also, dealing with women mystics plays an important role for the struggle of women to find a lively language not releying on traditional codifications. |
