Xenia of St Petersburg, a saint who lived in the eighteenth century, and the nun and theologian Maria Skobtsova († 1945 in the Ravensbrück Concentration Camp) function as role models, inspiring Orthodox women today as they search for new possibilities and models for the role of women in the discourse within the Orthodox Church. Cet article illustre par l’exemple de deux femmes de tradition orthodoxe russe les implications de la doctrine de la divinisation de l’humain, un aspect essentiel de la spiritualité orthodoxe. Sainte Xenia de Saint Petersbourg, qui vivait au XVIIIe siècle, et la religieuse et théologienne Maria Skobtsova (décédée en 1945 dans le camp de concentration de Ravensbrück) servent aujourd'hui de modèle et de guide aux femmes orthodoxes en quête d’identifications nouvelles dans le débat sur le rôle de la femme au sein de l’Église orthodoxe. |
