Abstract :
The major Septuagint Lexicon Project, started around 1968, is far from reaching its completion. It began with the production of 'Computer Assisted Tools for Septuagint Studies', a subproject syatyed under the co-direction of R. Kraft and E. Tov. Meanwhile, and rather independently from the main project, T. Muraoka and J. Lee worked on a pilot project aimed at producing a Lexicon of the Septuagint of the Minor Prophets. In this framework, a colloquium was organized in Melbourne in 1987. The participants discussed probe entries which had been circulated in advance. The proceedings with the collected papers prepared for the colloquium were published in 1990. In the present contribution we will first give a survey of its contents and then add some remarks concerning the translation-character of Septuagintal Greek and its impact on mexocographical work.
