Author(s): ÇEVIK, Özlem
Journal: Ancient Near Eastern Studies
Volume: 34 Date: 1996-1997
This article concerns two unprovenanced bronze belts purchased by Van Regional Museum, Turkey, in 1974 and 1976. Altough their lack of contextual information is to be regretted, they contribute further to our understanding of the range and developemnt of a growing number of belts characterised by a vigorous stylistic design ascribed to Caucasian artisans.
