D’autre part, une nouvelle interprétation d’inscriptions hiéroglyphiques du temple de Khonsou à Karnak plaide en faveur de l’identité du dieu Néos Philopatôr avec Ptolémée dit «Memphitès». Restatement of the much debated question of Ptolemy «VII» in the light of a Greek papyrus proving that a son of Philometor and Cleopatra II was eponymous priest in the time of Euergetes II (144/143 BC). Furthermore, a new interpretation of hieroglyphic inscriptions from the temple of Khonsu in Karnak favours the identity of the god Neos Philopator with Ptolemy nicknamed «Memphites». |
