Abstract :

One of the shortest Yast and also one of the more difficult, the Haftan Yast is the text used to worship every patron of the days of the first week of the month who are the seven Am®ta Spanta, while the Ardvahist Yast and the Hordad Yast probably concern the two Am®ta Spanta called ¤ta Vahista and Harvatat but as respective patrons of the second and third months of the year. The first chapter of the Sih-rocag is the origin of the first five paragraphs of the Haftan Yast; the second one, the origin of the following five. I make a new attempt to understand the contents of the paragraphs 11-14 which seem damaged or corrupted, showing that this ending part of the text, by the lack of coherence and continuity its syntax presents, maybe does not make a unity. However, this untraced patchwork may conserve very old material.
