In light of other epistolary documents, this file illustrates different aspects of Claude Shaeffer’s activities as archaeologist, orientalist and museologist. It underlines his investment in numerous fields: archaeology of western Asia, heritage preservation, organization of French archaeological research abroad, as well as dissemination of research findings and knowledge. |
