L'objectif est de déterminer ce qui définit le christianisme dans cette province en le comparant à la situation attestée dans les autres provinces africaines et de voir si la nouvelle religion a pu être un élément fédérateur pour ses habitants. The article proposes a study of the development of Christianity in Mauretania Caesariensis: its impact on population, its geographical distribution and its ecclesiastical institutions. The objective is to determine what defines Christianity in this province by comparing it to the situation attested in the other African provinces and to see if the new religion was able to be a federative element for the inhabitants of Mauretania Caesariensis. |
