Abstract :

In reading Theo-Logic, and more specifically Theo-Logic III: The Spirit of Truth, one cannot restrict trinitarian inversion to its source: Theo-Drama. Indeed, in the last volume of his trilogy, Balthasar aims to treat «in its widest sense» the theme of «trinitarian inversion». Such a project, which could well be that of a Christology of the Spirit dear to K. Barth, is a sizeable one. This study aims to show how, on the basis of «trinitarian inversion», Balthasar develops a Christology of the Spirit, a Christology framed by a pneumatology which both precedes and follows it. In other words, an encompassing theology of the third article of the creed.
