Abstract :
Geen samenvatting

A 36-year-old man with persistent cough and occasional hemoptoe
Sarcoidosis is a multisystem granulomatous disorder of unknown etiology with lung involvement in over 90% of affected patients. A conclusive diagnostic test does not exist. Thus the diagnosis requires compatible clinical and radiographic manifestations, the histopathologic detection of noncaseating granulomas and a rightful exclusion of other granulomatous disorders. Still, the clinical presentation of patients affected by sarcoidosis as well as their chest X-ray can be variable. On the other hand, sarcoidosis often comes first to attention when abnormalities are detected on a chest radiograph during a routine screening examination of asymptomatic individuals. The reported case displays the typical radiological findings and computertomographic manifestations of sarcoïdosis.
