Après avoir comparé les derniers jubilés de la Réforme, il décrit la manière dont les luthériens allemands ont commencé à célébrer cette année. Une évaluation critique met en évidence une certaine contradiction entre le désir de célébrer une personnalité populaire et la volonté de ne pas cacher les côtés problématiques de Luther, comme son antijudaisme, ses attaques contre les catholiques (y compris la faculté de théologie de Louvain), les charismatiques de son temps et bien d’autres groupes. Un premier bilan des résultats de la recherche scientifique récente sur Luther est suivi de la présentation d'une série d'articles qui seront publiés ensuite dans la Revue autour des thématiques qui divisent catholiques et protestants: sola gratia, sola fide, sola scriptura/solo verbo et solus Christus. This article evokes the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation. After having compared the last jubilees of the Reformation, it describes the way in which German lutherans started to celebrate this year. A critical evaluation points to a contradiction between the wish to celebrate a popular personality and a desire not to conceal problematic aspects about Luther, such as his anti-judaism, his attacks against catholics (including the Louvain Theology Faculty), the charismatic groups of his time and many other groups. An initial review of recent scientific research on Luther is followed by a presentation of a series of articles which will subsequently be published in the RTL about divisive issues for catholics and protestants: sola gratia, sola fide, sola scriptura/solo verbo and solus Christus. |
