Although much research has been done on the history of this particular liturgical repertoire, there is hardly any knowledge about contemporary lived liturgy in this realm. A perspective of liturgical theology is taken (1) to broaden the scope of liturgical spirituality in this direction. The distinction between primary theologians (theologia prima) and secondary theologians (theologia secunda) serves as a basis for a new research paradigm in anthropological liturgical studies: collegial research interviews (2). The setting of the research (3) makes monks and researcher both practitioners of liturgical theology, willing to share their insights. Nineteen interviews form the basis for an analysis of the structure of the Liturgy of the Hours (4) and its meaning (5). One of the most important insights is that the interplay between structure and anti-structure opens a horizon for mystical liturgical meaning. Some conclusions for monastic liturgical practice and further research (6) express the hope that the research presented here will be an invitation to further exchange for practitioners, both in the choir stalls and in the academic field. Le but de cet article est de percevoir, comprendre, décrire et analyser les expériences monastiques de la Liturgie des Heures dans deux abbayes bénédictines: une hollandaise et une autre allemande. Bien que beaucoup de recherches aient été faites sur l’histoire de ce répertoire liturgique particulier, il n’y a pratiquement aucune connaissance de la liturgie contemporaine vécue dans ce domaine. Une perspective de la théologie liturgique est prise (1) pour élargir la portée de la spiritualité liturgique dans cette direction. La distinction entre théologiens primaires (theologia prima) et théologiens secondaires (theologia secunda) sert de base à un nouveau paradigme de recherche dans les études liturgiques anthropologiques: les entretiens collégiaux de recherche (2). Le cadre de la recherche (3) fait des moines et des chercheurs des praticiens de la théologie liturgique, disposés à partager leurs idées. Dix-neuf interviews forment la base d’une analyse de la structure de la Liturgie des Heures (4) et de sa signification (5). Une des idées les plus importantes est que l’interaction entre structure et anti-structure ouvre un horizon pour la signification liturgique mystique. Certaines conclusions de la pratique liturgique monastique et des recherches ultérieures (6) expriment l’espoir que la recherche présentée ici sera une invitation à de nouveaux échanges pour les praticiens, tant dans les stalles de chœur que dans le domaine universitaire. |
