Abstract :

The text of Ps 80 reveals signs of a series of redactional re-readings. Following the disappearance of the Northern Kingdom it was integrated into the Temple liturgy. In this context, through the vine motif, it looks to fate of the Davidic dynasty, initially in the person of Josias. A new reading appears in the time of Zedekiah in Ez 17, with the introduction of the expression bn 'dm in Ps 80,18. The precarious condition of the descendant of the David according to Ps 80 produced additional new readings down to the time of the New Testament.
