Document Details : Title: Large bronchogenic cyst compressing the left atrium Author(s): T. Routoulas , G. Triantis , N. Smigadis , P. Mylona , D. Sionis Journal: Acta Cardiologica Volume: 69 Issue: 3 Date: 2014 Pages: 325-327 DOI: 10.2143/AC.69.3.3027841 Abstract : Bronchogenic cysts are listed among the less common mediastinal tumours and either remain unnoticed and are randomly found or they are manifested with respiratory or thoracic symptoms such as chest pain, dyspnoea, haemoptysis and recurrent thoracic infections. More severe symptoms (e.g. sepsis, compression) are rare. We present a case of a male patient with progressive dyspnoea on exertion attributed to a large bronchogenic cyst. |
