Il tente de reconstruire l’impact des théories fichtéenne de la réflexion et schlégélienne de critique esthétique sur la pensée critique benjaminienne. L’enjeu de cet article est donc de montrer que la théorie de l’histoire à l’oeuvre dans la pensée critique benjaminienne a été profondément marquée par cette formation romantique et idéaliste de notre auteur. À la suite de cette démonstration, nous cernerons plus spécifiquement quel est le rôle d’une théorie critique pour une philosophie de l’histoire et en quoi elle dépasse une théorie régressive et philologique du commentaire. The aim of this article is to study the sources in Schlegel and Fichte of the philosophy of the young Walter Benjamin. It seeks to reconstruct the impact of Fichte’s theory of reflection and of Schlegel’s theory of aesthetic criticism on Benjamin’s theory of critique. The focus of this article is therefore to show that the theory of history at work in Benjamin’s critical thought was profoundly influenced by his romantic and idealist formation. Having demonstrated this point, we will delimit more specifically the role of a critical theory in a philosophy of history, and in which regard it goes beyond a regressive and philological theory of commentaries. |
