Document Details : Title: Teaching Toponymy through the Web Author(s): ORMELING, Ferjan Journal: Onoma Volume: 39 Date: 2004 Pages: 265-274 DOI: 10.2143/ONO.39.0.2020716 Abstract : The paper describes the possible formats for toponymy courses, explaining why most of them are not feasible for smaller countries, and presenting webcourses as an alternative. The input of the UNGEGN Working Group on Training Courses in Toponymy is shown, and the contents and composition of the webcourse, produced in conjunction with the International Cartographic Association, is described. Finally, its structure and functionality (interactivity and feedback) are referred to. L’article décrit les formats possibles de cours de toponymie, en expliquant pourquoi la plupart d’entre eux ne sont pas réalisables dans de petits pays et en présentant des cours via le Web comme une alternative. On présente l’impact du Groupe de travail de GENUNG sur les cours d’éducation en toponymie et on décrit le contenu et la composition du cours web, produit en collaboration avec l’Association Cartographique Internationale. En conclusion, sa structure et sa fonctionnalité (interactivité et rétroaction) sont mises en référence. Der Aufsatz beschreibt den möglichen Umfang von Toponymie-Kursen, erklärt, weshalb die meisten von ihnen für kleinere Länder nicht durchführbar sind, und stellt Internet-Kurse als Alternative vor. Beschrieben werden die Zuarbeit durch die UNGEGN-Arbeitsgruppe für Toponymie-Trainingskurse sowie der gemeinsam mit der Internationalen Kartographischen Assoziation entwickelte Inhalt und Aufbau eines Internet-Kurses. Zum Abschluss wird auf seine Struktur und Funktionalität (Interaktivität und Feedback) verwiesen. |
