Abstract :
In this article, or rather collection of articles, we present an overview of the current state of linguistic research on the dialects of the three Western Provinces of the Netherlands: Noord-Holland, Zuid-Holland and Utrecht. Together they form the so-called Randstad, the most urbanised part of the country, that houses cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Den Haag (The Hague).
