Abstract :
A connection between shamanism and folk oral poetry and music takes its origin in ancient times, when ritual practice and artistic activity existed in unity, being different manifestations of the same phenomenon. We can think that a talent of a poet and a musician was considered as a part of those capacities that were gifted to a shaman by the patron (helping) spirits. The obvious traces of this connection preserved in various cultures have already attracted the interest of many researchers. Some evidences were found in Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
