Plusieurs améliorations de traduction permettent de mieux saisir son contenu. Elles montrent surtout qu'il n'y a pas de critique sociale dans le texte, contrairement à l'opinion admise jusqu'ici. Le Livre des morts sur le verso est écrit pour un «NN fils de NN» et doit être considéré comme le modèle d'un copiste. Le rapprochement récemment proposé entre le papyrus Vandier et le papyrus Tebtunis Tait 9 est rejeté. Publication of several notes on the Papyrus Vandier. The language of the text can be classified as 'proto-demotic'. Some corrections in the translation help towards a better understanding of the content. Especially, they permit to refute an alleged social criticism found by some in the tale. The Book of the Dead on the verso of the papyrus Vandier is not destined for a particular but written for a “NN son of NN”. By consequence, it must be considered as a model for copying from. A proposed connection with the demotic papyrus Tebtunis Tait 9 can be shown to be incorrect. |
